Proposed new books

Drag Racing into the 80's, will cover the sport in the UK from the period 1980 to 1989.

The 1980s was a somewhat neglected period in history due to a recession, but the quartermile action was dramatic as always! Drag racing underwent changes during this time, with new classes such as Pro Modified and fresh engineering developments throughout. Details of the machines that competed will form the majority of the story. Personal insights include being part of a racing team and the harsh realities of nitromethane on a budget! Inside will be over 300 colour photos, including many European racers and some of the American stars who visited these shores competing in supercharged classes. Plus, Sammy Miller's rocket powered machine and the rise of the jet cars.

Plenty of nitro burning Funny Cars will feature, plus Top Fuel, Pro Comp, Fuel Altereds, Jag powered machines and much more. Most of the pictures are scanned and the text underway. Further details soon.

A new book on trucks will be written when Midnight Movers is sold out. We have a few titles lined up and it will be announced in due course. The book will feature the same high-quality photographs that has impressed buyers of Midnight Movers.

Many customers have asked about another volume of trucks at night. While that may happen in future, right now we feel that another subject should be covered. We intend to do separate ERF and Foden books for example, but are considering a famous European marque as a consideration. Whatever is decided, potential customers will be informed well in advance.

Above is a cover mockup of the drag racing book. The final design may alter.
